Well, this ended up looking a little more like a death-scene than I intended.

Multics-sama's (apparently) bleeding to death, Unix-sama pulls her OHSHI-! face out of mothballs, gives it a certain OH GOD WHAT DID I DO?! twist, and horror is born!

Making this page was positively traumatic for me; I insisted upon researching how birds' wings break and where they tend to get injured. That had me going all over the Interwebs looking for reference pictures of birds with broken wings, which was TRES TRAUMATIC. :< (Though I'm now thoroughly familiar with avian wing anatomy).

Er... so yeah, that's a compound fracture to the humerus. It would be a strange break for a bird, but this isn't a bird we're dealing with. Well, not entirely. It turns out birds have quickly calcifying bones, so if a break isn't set properly (and rather quickly) it can deform the bone structure for life (which would be a good anatomical explanation for why Multics-sama's left wing is paralyzed. Or whatever. I just want to put my newly found avian anatomy knowledge to use!)

I must say, your did good job with researching. Just looking at Multix-sama in this state is painful :( I can't imagine how muchc it hurt her...
By the way... I wonder if her prophecies are fulfilled already? Or it meant possible Unix-sama violent death or something?

Thank you! It was interesting, but rather sad, research. That's what I was going for... I wanted this to be a very painful-looking scene.

Multics-sama's prophecy is, in part, a reference to the suffering she would endure during the Unix Wars and her subsequent health problems. But in the present-day part of the story, Unix-sama believes that Multics' prediction might also be referencing a conflict between her and Linux-tan-- a conflict that would end with Unix-sama's downfall.

Wooooooooooow.... I never thought I'd see this scene come to life, I can see how researching it would've been traumatic.

But you made it and you did a wonderful job with this epic scene, which would have so may ramifications for our world. ^^

Heh, I had my doubts too... and if not for our fickle friend inspiration, it probably wouldn't have happened. (Oh my GAWD yes, and it's worse when you consider that birds are some of my favourite animals. :()

I wanted it to be dramatic, violent, but not necessarily sappy, y'know what I mean?

yep,.. well from a practical standpoint, you would have needed at least 3 more pages to make it especially sappy. We can't afford that in a "brief" flashback. ^^;
