Yep, you're right... you gotta think within the time, though. If you look at it through a historical lens it's all amazingly depressing stuff, but in the moment, it's not TOO bad. >.>
Although it might be especially bad in this case... neither Whirlwind nor Multics-sama had the most glorious of ends. -.-
Ironically, Multics-sama's childhood was especially rough... but she would have been very good at putting on a happy face.
