Swan Station Computers EDIT by BellaCielo Swan Station Computers EDIT by BellaCielo
<Edit 06/13/10> Detail added, colouring cleaned up, background added. I may make a new BG for this since I'm not particularly fond of this one...

This may still be a WIP. </edit>

This was the image that got partially butchered by GIMP yesterday-- some of the more complex layers were left intact (like the hair and eyes), so things could have been worse I suppose.

So yeah, this WIP is Lost-related and OS-tan-related. Basically, these are anthropomorphic representations of the Swan Station computers. Or more accurately, representations of the two computers used as props, the Apple /// and A/N FSQ-7 (a component of the SAGE computer system). This still need detail work, and a background, and all the colouring cleaned up...

GIMP, Wacom Bamboo

I can picture them now; trying to decode the mystery of the epileptic trees

Wow :) Coloring looks better now, and I like background. SAGE and Apple III make soooo cute couple!
But, as for me, SAGE's face looks a bit asymmetric - it's a bit thinner on right side and bit more plump on left.

Thank you! The last one was a work-in-progess anyway, this is finished (or at least closer to being finished). :)

I love Apple /// and SAGE together too. They have such a cute friendship. :D

Hmmm, you are right... strange. D:

Hmm I at first thought this girl was SAGE herself at first :D
Does this mean that SAGE-sama had something like twin sister servants in her prime?

:ohnoes: Well, at least it wasn't destroyed. It still looks really nice (aka, new desktop image) too bas there isn't a "Super Favorite" button.

No Swan Station is complete without Dharma Beer and a rifle :la:

Yeah, and it didn't take out the portions that were most difficult to make...

But it's not done, not even close! :ohnoes: Glad you like it, though, even at the beta stage. :D

Those Dharma folk like to party hardy with guns! The way I see it, Apple ///-tan sent SAGE out into mystery friggin' jungle on a beer run, thus the need for the gasmask and rifle... or something? :XD:

Well that's good :D

Oh man! There's more!? Ahhhh

Throw in Soulfinger by the Bar-Kays and it's perfect! Sure, makes sense, maybe she went to commiserate with Horace's Ghost?

It's been updated, just in case I forgot to click the "notify watchers" button. ^^'

Is it wrong that the mention of Soulfinger made me think of funky network protocols? :< Ghost!Horace and SAGE chatting is a thought, though I think she'd tire of his company quickly and wanna beat him up for being a hippie. Maybe she went out to talk with Ghost-Faraday, she could related to a fellow amnesiac-Massachusettsan. d:

No, I saw!

Not at all. But he's just so groovy, and he did wear the patch of "The Arrow".... Bwahahaha! Yes! "You went to MIT? I was made by MIT!"

Of course! Horace was a hippie, but it was his job to wail on the Others, who were arguably just as hippie-like as (or moreso than) the Dharma folk. (A bunch of unemployed, long-haired unshaven yurt-dwellers who adhere to a mysterious mix of Eastern and Western ideology and philosophy? It's like they came right from the Haight, man!) Oxford, technically, though I wouldn't be surprised if he did his undergraduate at MIT.

Thanks. ^^

As an old-computer fan, I gotta give props to Lost for featuring a bunch of 1950s-through-1980s era computers. :giggle:
